• GQ | How did we not know the Masters' Green Jacket Suit Bag is a Nightmare?

April 2007, Zach Johnson departs Augusta with nothing but a garbage bag to transport one of the most coveted trophies in all of sports. Fast forward to April 2015, Jordan Spieth appears to be in a hurry

    to return his rented tuxedo.

Let's cloak golf's ultimate prize in something other than shame.

    Dear Sirs and Condoleezza,

Doesn't a tradition unlike any other, deserve a garment bag of the highest quality?

After Jordan Spieth's historic victory on Augusta’s hallowed grounds, he was whisked away in a private car to a private jet, with instructions to take him anywhere in the world (likely a private island). Slung over his shoulder was arguably the most sought after prize in all of sports, the Augusta National Green Jacket. Photos of this moment should have captured a man on top of the world, but the ensuing photo was greeted with a much different reaction.

We created this petition as a reminder, nay a plea, that the finest things in life deserve the finest presentation and care. They deserve our respect. The Augusta National Green Jacket should not be awarded to recipients in a glorified garbage bag.  (Not to mention in 2007 Zach Johnson toted his Green Jacket in an ACTUAL garbage bag.)

While we understand it's what's inside that counts, in this instance we're not sure that's true.

It is for that reason that we, at Hudson Sutler, offer up a solution:

To every former, current and future winner of The Masters Tournament, Hudson Sutler will bestow a custom, American made garment bag, truly worthy to hold the glory that is the Augusta National Green Jacket, completely free of charge and in perpetuity.

We assure you we're not alone in hoping to see this request come to fruition; America is demanding better for its champions. We're begging you, please don't force another Masters champion to leave Augusta with a suit bag that's more befitting of discarded Pimento Cheese Sandwiches.

Hit 'em straight, far, and not very often,

    Hudson Sutler
